We were asked to Aerial Film shots of the newly built super hub in Rugby for Hermes. The film was to be produced to send to an international client, inviting them to the launch of the hub. The production company had creative ideas as to what shots they wanted us to capture with our UAV, but the director was also kind enough to allow our personal artistic flair to flow, and we visioned some fantastic shots around the site. The site was huge, in class G airspace, and is not currently open so there was little risk involved, we had to be mindful of the M6 motorway to the north side of the site, we kept well clear at all times to avoid potential driver distraction, there was also a gas venting station beyond the M6 which we were mindful of. The final shot with the trucks and shunter driving in formation was done on the first take, which was a surprise to all involved as it was only seen to be a 'nice to have' shot. The client requested that the Aerial Filming was shot in 30fps in Log, in 4k (3840X2160) and the end product would be outputted at 1080p HD.
